TV3 acquires internet advertising company SmartAD

TV3, which belongs to international media group Modern Times Group (MTG), has acquired 100% of internet advertising company SmartAD.

SmartAD is Estonian capital based company which develops unique internet advertising technology and provides addressed advertising solutions in the internet in all three Baltic countries to all major advertisers and media agencies. In 2014 the company revenue was close to 1M EUR and it employs currently 12 people.

TV3 CEO Priit Leito said that acquiring SmartAD is part of TV3 and MTG strategic plans and first step in entering into internet advertising market. “SmartAD is one of the innovation leaders in the internet advertising market. We plan to capture the innovation and provide new cross-media solutions to our clients. The management has done good job in building up the company and will continue to run the company”.

SmartAD co-founder and CEO Rando Rannus added: “We see many synergies between TV3 group and SmartAD. We believe that we can bring new solutions to the market – to help advertisers run more efficient marketing campaigns.

The details of the deal, including the deal value, are not disclosed.
